Missionars...

Elder Foster with an investigator
Moin!

And the week begins again. For some reason this week went by really, really fast. Before I knew it, it was already Sunday again. And here we are again. This week I had to once again travel to the ends of the earth for another meeting, this time to Freiberg for district-leader schooling with the other district-leaders in the zone. I will say it was a nice meeting and I enjoyed it. On this particular day we did not have time to do any other kind of missionary work because we were traveling all day but we made EFFECTIVE use of our time by talking to people while we were in the train. It wasn't quite as exciting as the week before but it was still better than doing nothing which was the alternative. Although it was quite entertaining because the last group of people were asking me to sing because a few minutes before I talked to them I was silently singing songs to myself out of the hymn book. Luckily we had to exchange trains in the next few moments but we did manage to leave them with some interest and some of our cards.

Probably another highlight of the week was that one day as we were walking around and doing some street contacting, and we were unsure where to go and we had to take a Bahn back to the church pretty soon, so we could teach an English class. And we were just standing there for a good 30 seconds unsure of what to do when I finally just decided that we would turn left and talk to the nearest people, yes that simple. And actually the person that I talked to I had already talked to before but here's the catch. Last time I talked to this lady it was also with her friend and some of her friends children. And they were quite interested and even wanted to come to church but never did because of complications and what not, however we didn't have a number or anything to confirm this, but not too long ago we ran into the lady with the young children and we had another good conversation and she said once again that she wanted to come to church but as before no one showed up. But finally that day we ran into the other lady that was with her the first time and this time we got her number, her address, and an appointment. Haha finally! So not only can we keep in contact but it is a lot more likely that we will get them to church and also get in contact with her friend who has the 3 kids or so. So that was definitely a blessing in my eyes. The Lord will direct you even when you sometimes have no idea what you are doing, you just simply need to go out there and do it. Put your faith and trust in him!

One of the perks of having a companion that is going home is that it is the perfect excuse to get people to come to church or to meet with us. Suddenly people have more time and are more willing to do things when you are going to be leaving the entire country. Haha we pulled that card on one of our investigators and it worked quite marvelously because now she will be coming to hear my companion's talk next Sunday. It should be good. Other than that is just hard to keep in contact with all these people we find and teach. It is just too sporadic and not frequent enough. The only person we meet with frequently is an investigator who as of last week lives right around the corner from us haha so it makes it very easy to go visit him. But unfortunately he is young and also Muslim so the stubbornness levels are extreme. He listens but just won't follow through with the simple things. However, we did bring him to President Kosak's house the other day and they used some righteous peer-pressure on him so that he might actually be coming to church next week. You can’t help but love the Kosak. You wouldn't think a twenty year old could enjoy his time around a couple of people in their fifties so much but somehow it is possible.

Well unfortunately that is about all my brain can handle for this week. Haha but all is well and the future is bright. I wish you all a wonderful week and that you may all find some peace in your lives through the great message of the gospel!

Tschüss,
Elder Foster
